Reverie is a beautifully designed dream journal by Mindful Slumber. It helps you capture, explore, and reflect on your dreams each morning — building a rich personal record over time. You can log entries by text or voice, tag recurring symbols and emotions, and track patterns across your dream life.
Open Reverie and tap the + button on the main journal screen. You can type your dream directly, or tap the microphone icon to use voice-to-text. Add a title, select the date, and optionally tag moods, symbols, or recurring themes before saving.
Yes. Reverie is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or later, and for Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later. Your journal syncs automatically across all your devices securely through your Mindful Slumber account.
Mindful Slumber: Tibetan Dream Yoga is a guided practice app — it provides meditations, video teachings, and techniques to help you achieve lucid dreaming. Reverie is focused purely on journaling: it is your private space to record and revisit your dreams every day. The two apps complement each other well and are both available from Mindful Slumber.
Recording Dreams
Yes. Tap the microphone icon when creating or editing an entry. Reverie will transcribe your voice to text automatically. You can edit the transcription afterward if anything needs correcting. This is especially useful first thing in the morning before dream memories fade.
When saving an entry you can add custom tags — for example people, places, emotions, or recurring symbols you notice in your dreams. Over time, the journal's Insights screen will show you which tags appear most often, helping you spot patterns and themes across your dream life.
Yes. Go to Settings → Reminders and enable the morning journal reminder. You can choose a time that suits your wake-up routine. The notification will take you directly to a new entry so you can capture your dream before it fades.
If you forget your vault password, you can regain access using your 12-word recovery phrase that you were given during setup. The recovery phrase contains everything needed to restore your dreams and set a new password. If you lose both your vault password and your recovery phrase, your data is permanently inaccessible because of our true encryption.
Payments & Subscriptions
Reverie offers a free tier that lets you record and view your dream journal with no time limit. A Reverie Premium subscription unlocks additional features including unlimited cloud sync, advanced insights, custom themes, and more. You can see the current subscription options inside the app under Settings → Reverie Premium.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel, open the Settings app on your device, tap your Apple ID name at the top, then go to Subscriptions. Find Reverie in the list and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Premium access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
First, try restoring your purchase: go to Settings → Reverie Premium → Restore Purchase inside the app. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase. If the issue persists after restoring, please contact our support team with your Apple receipt and we will resolve it promptly.
Technical Problems
Try these steps in order:
Force-quit Reverie and reopen it.
Restart your iPhone or iPad.
Check the App Store for any pending Reverie updates and install them.
Ensure your device is running iOS 18 or later.
If the crash continues after these steps, please contact us and describe what you were doing when the crash occurred.
Reverie uses iCloud to sync your journal. Please check:
You are signed in to iCloud on all devices with the same Apple ID.
iCloud Drive is enabled — go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Drive.
Reverie has iCloud access — under Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud, make sure Reverie is toggled on.
Both devices have an active internet connection.
Sync can occasionally take a few minutes after a new entry is saved.
Open your iPhone's Settings app → Notifications → Reverie and make sure notifications are allowed. Then open Reverie and go to Settings → Reminders to confirm your reminder time is set. If you recently reinstalled the app, you may need to grant notification permissions again.
Data & Privacy
Your journal entries are stored locally on your device and synced with our backend using zero-knowledge end-to-end encryption. Mindful Slumber does not have access to the contents of your dream journal. Your entries are private to you.
To export your journal, go to the 'Account' tab → 'Data Management' → 'Export'. You can export all entries as a PDF or JSON file and save it to your Files app or share it. To delete all your data, go to Account → Delete All Dreams. This will permanently remove all entries from your device — this action cannot be undone.
